Without any doubt one of the most outstanding persons in history of Bulgarian sprint for all times is Pavel Pavlov. He used to inspire for more than a decade a kind of respect and admirations in all the track & field fans in Bulgaria in late 70s. Pavel Pavlov was born in Plovdiv on 08 March 1952 and his first steps in sport were dedicated to swimming and boxing. Pavlov commenced with athletics a little bit late – as 21 years old. His first love was namely the sprint and his first successes on the track are made under the guidance and advices of famous Bulgarian coach Dimcho Bachvarov
